Sarah Griswold

Sarah Griswold is a consultant for small and mid-sized history museums, historical societies, libraries with historical collections, and other non-profit organizations. Ms. Griswold works primarily in collection assessment & management, board development, strategic planning, and exhibit development. In addition, she works with organizations and organizational communities in developing their capabilities through improving communications and governance structure.

Ms. Griswold has worked as museum curator, historic house executive director, researcher and program manager. She has led workshops in aspects of museum exhibits and management. In addition, Sarah Griswold has led visioning, planning, and governance workshops; and served as a mentor to nine organizations as part of the Steps-CT programs. Sarah Griswold is a peer reviewer and advisor for both the Museum Assessment Program and Connecticut Peer Advisor Network (PAN).

Ms. Griswold is a former member of the board of the Connecticut League of History Organizations and currently serves on the board of Bated Breath Theatre Company. She holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University (CT) in Studio Art. Sarah Griswold is also a potter and artist, and is working on a ceramics piece that explores her legacy as the granddaughter of nine generations of Anglo-American colonialism.
